On Wednesday 22 January, the Department of Industry’s 2014 Australia Day Achievement Medallions were presented by the Secretary of the Department, Glenys Beauchamp, to 11 individuals and four teams across the department for outstanding performance.

Amongst the team award recipients was the Questacon team who worked on the delivery of the Questacon Technology Learning Centre’s (QTLC) design and fit-out project. Their award was in recognition of the outstanding work with the design process of the QTLC in successfully delivering a range of innovative public area and work space solutions.

The award recipients were Lorraine Neish, Bernard Finucane, Kate McKenzie, Andrew Wallace, Matthew Riches and Greg Murray.  Lorraine Neish and Bernard Finucane accepted the awards on behalf of the team in a ceremony at the National Convention Centre.

Ms Beauchamp said of all the recipients, “These colleagues have shown an outstanding commitment to the work of the department and I would like to personally congratulate them on this achievement and commend them for their excellent work.”

Questacon Director, Professor Graham Durant, also congratulated the team on their award.
