Questacon’s Director, Professor Graham Durant, joined 90 other CEO’s from around Canberra in the annual St Vinnies CEO Sleepout on 18 June 2015.
After waking to the sound of bugles and drums just after 5 am at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Professor Durant admitted it wasn’t the cold winter night in Canberra that challenged him the most.
“It was a relatively warm but uncomfortable night,” Professor Durant said. “Old hips and concrete do not go together well.”
The 2015 Canberra CEO Sleepout has raised over $320 000 for St Vinnies to help with the problem of homelessness. With help from family, friends and colleagues, Professor Durant contributed over $3000 to this fundraising effort.
