Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre is proud to bring back our Little Explorers’ Days. From February 8 - 10, Questacon is inviting little explorers aged 0-6 years and their carers to take over Questacon. Over these 3 fun-filled days, little explorers will have a whale of time with Echo the Humpback Whale, play with giant bubbles, make friends with giant dinosaurs and so much more!
“Early childhood is a prime time to build inquiring minds and spark an interest in STEM. Our early childhood programs are designed to ignite curiosity, hands-on learning and most of all play. This is a fantastic opportunity for carers and their little explorers to have a fun day out and build inquiring minds. Our aim is to spark interest and a continued exploration of STEM at home,” said Questacon Director, Jo White.
The Australian Federal Police and the ACT Fire Brigade will be joining us and bringing Constable Kenny Koala and a fire truck! Little explorers will also be able to explore light and shadows at Science Time, meet the Flightless Fairy and go on a spacewalk with our astronauts.
“This will be the first little explorers’ event since 2019 and we are pleased to welcome so many of our smallest scientists into the Centre once again. These days give us an opportunity to focus on our younger audience and help them to discover and explore STEM,” said Questacon Senior Manager, Natalie Sullivan.
Little Explorers’ Days are an opportunity to bring a touch of science and enquiry to early learners while empowering carers to introduce science at a young age at home, using simple materials from around the house.
