National Science Week commences this week with more than 1,600 events across the nation.
From the 13 – 21 August, Australians will have the opportunity to meet scientists, discuss the hot topics, attend an event and celebrate science and its cultural and economic contribution to society when National Science Week kicks off.
Highlights for the National Science Week include:
- Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak coming to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
- BBC presenter and rock star of astrophysics Brian Cox touring Australia.
- Retro rocket science with space historian and author Amy Shira Teitel touring the country.
- Biohacker Ellen Jorgensen bringing biotech and open science together, in Perth and Sydney.
- Australian Financial Review National Innovation Summit in Sydney, which will see science, business and government leaders come together to thrash out how innovation can transform our economy.
