In this free workshop you will:

  • Get hands-on with chemical engineering and activities from the ‘A Work in Process: Improving the Playdough Process’ unit.
  • Develop effective strategies to teach STEM content, and skills, to meet the learning needs of your students.
  • ​Gain the confidence to teach STEM in your classroom through the engineering design process.

​After the workshop, we’ll send you a resource kit and unit of work so you can run Engineering is Elementary in your classroom. You’ll also be connected to a national community of practice for ongoing collaboration and support.

​Places are limited.

Things to know

  • This workshop is a two-part series, to complete the workshop make sure you attend both session 1 and session 2. Each of the sessions are 1.5 hours.  
  • You can sign-up to one of the two available groups see session times below.
  • Engineering is Elementary units are designed for primary educators; however, they can be adapted for secondary school or other settings.
  • ​Workshops are listed in AEST time zone. Please check what time zone you are in and adjust accordingly. 
  • ​Workshops will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.   
  • ​Workshops are free but applications are essential as places are limited!  
  • ​If these dates don’t suit you, you can express your interest in future opportunities via the application form.
