About

​Questacon Science Circus Primary School Shows are a FREE, fun, and engaging way for students to explore science. ​

Our goal is for students to get involved, test out their ideas, and spark a curiosity in science that they can take away with them inside and outside of the classroom. ​

Questacon presenters will guide your students through an hour of stimulating shows that students will have the opportunity to participate in and connect with. Our shows are catered to all age ranges and follow relevant concepts being taught in the current curriculum.

Things to know

  • ​Suitable for all primary school students. ​
  • Science Circus shows are FREE, but registrations are essential as spots are limited. ​
  • Each show is 60 minutes in duration, and we can present up to 4 shows at a school per day. We will attempt to adjust these to fit into your normal school timetable where possible.
  • ​The Science Circus team are visiting schools in the Wide Bay Burnett region of Queensland around Gympie, Maryborough, and Bundaberg.

  • ​A team of two presenters will come to your school to deliver these shows. Adequate teacher supervision is required for each session.

We require a room large enough for the audience and a 4 m area at the front for the presenters. We require two trestle-sized tables, an electrical power point and access to water (not necessarily in the show space).

We can present up to 4 shows in a day at your school. Maximum 150 students per session.

We can present up to 4 shows in a day at your school. Each session is 1 hour in duration with a 30 minute reset required between sessions. Large schools may request a two day visit.
